This week was pretty good, pretty normal week as far as everything goes. We had a few good lessons with investigators, and a couple crazy ones haha. It's always a little awkward when we meet a man and he tries to kiss us and we have to say, "sorry we can only shake hands in the mission!" That happens frequently, but I'm getting really good at saying that really fast in Spanish haha. We've been trying so hard to get members with us in our lessons, because it increases the quality of everything so much! It really makes the difference in missionary work. A family in our branch, their daughter just got home from her mission this week, so that was fun to meet her. And we have a family who just returned from the Buenos Aires temple, and now they are all sealed. They shared their testimonies on Sunday and it was really beautiful to see (even if I only caught about half of it).
Hermana King and I had a english fast on friday, we tried to not speak english all day...we broke it a little bit haha. But it really helps. I am learning and learning more every day. I had kind of a cool experience. We were in a lesson with some new investigators and we were talking about how God has answered prayers in their lives, and when I was listening, a thought came to me to share a little experience that I had the other day, but I thought, "no, I can't say that in spanish", but the feeling got a little stronger and stronger, and so then I just went for it and explained that the other day, we had left the apartment and it was so hot, and I just said a little prayer in my heart, "Heavenly Father, it's hot, please make it better", then all of the sudden, these clouds moved over the sun and we had some shade, and I knew that it was just a little tender mercy from Heavenly Father. So i shared that experience, and I'm not really sure what effect it had on them, but I know that I was following the spirit, so that was cool.
Our investigators would be progressing if they just came to church! It's such a challenge, but I think we will find ways to help them if we keep following the spirit.
Well, I think that's it for this week. I hope everyone has a wonderful week! Love you all!
Love,
Hermana Pyper
